Currently, PostgreSQL is not always supported for use with IUCLID 6. But that’s because the overview might suggest a way to improve performance. What do I need to install IUCLID 6?</p> </div> <div> <p>A76. Please check the following points before installing IUCLID 6.</p> <ol> <li>If you have less than 5 GB of data, you may not need to fully install IUCLID 6 because you can use the IUCLID 12 instance hosted by ECHA cloud services. Please see the relevant terms and conditions below to see if you qualify. This answer is especially useful if you want to enable a consultant to search your data remotely.</li> <li>If you don’t want to or can’tIf you want to get IUCLID cloud services, you can install IUCLID 6 Desktop on a suitable local <a href="https://formatdossier.com/">https://formatdossier.com</a> running MS Windows, macOS, or Linux. This is a spreadsheet where all your data must be stored locally and can only be accessed by one user at a time. Resources are so needed that for a few hundred dataset folders any computer or a relatively new computer should work, but now there is always enough memory when IUCLID is running. If you need to provide remote access to multiple user generated data, you will need multiple in terms of downloading and running the IUCLID server. More detailed requirements are given in the system requirements of the site. More information about the differences between the individual cloud, desktop and server versions of IUCLID can be found at the top of the download page.</li> <li>The IUCLID user must have appropriate permissions to create an application of the IUCLID 6 folder. MS for Windows is nice because IUCLID 6 is installed in the same directory as D:\iuclid c:\iuclid6. To avoid problems with direct access rightsWe do not recommend installing the program to the Windows Files folder. </li> <li>The IUCLID Desktop 6 installer is said to be documented in its user interface, here in the video. IUCLID 6 for desktop can be launched using the iuclid6-backup-restore.exe tool that comes with the application. It is located in the installation directory.</li> <li>Make sure the male or female running the updater has permissions to write to all relevant underlying folders and files.
